Hi there - I will send out our little booklet in the mid-August to you - it will answer most questions you may have. Perhaps when you get all settled you can email me and make an appointment to meet with Pastor Graham - as I am sure he would answer all of your questions.
He will be returning from his Study Leave near the end of August. The Grad/Professional Group is led by two young professionals and are quite involved with the church - they are not pastors, however, have gone thru various courses here at the church - which qualifies them to be a CPC leader. I am the administrative assistant of the church.

Well, I wish you a wonderful day....and will forward you materials in mid-August.... Ilona

P.S. Not sure if I had mentioned it before our website www.christpresnewhaven.org houses some of the information as well.

Hello again,
This is my turn to apologize for not getting back to you earlier. This week I was out on a retreat.
I sure would love to visit your church. The only thing I worry about is having any trouble with my family (the ones I will be living with) since they're not Christians. I don't want to make an issue out of the church-going. So, if I will have any trouble, I'd rather attend a church nearer home, even if it is not PCA, but I need to make sure they are faithful to Scripture. I am sure God will guide me on that decision.
PLease, do send me your welcome booklet. Sent it to my address in Middlefiled. It is 25 Day SChool Dr, Middlefiled, CT, 06455. But I will only be there there by mid-august, so please, do not send it earlier.
Meanwhile, can you tell me a bit about your church:
I would like to know who is the Grad/Professional Group leader. Is he a pastor at the church?
Also, I a sorry, but I didn't ask before and you didn't mention to me - what is your occupation at church?
And , yeah, what is your worship style like?
Also, I was wondering if you at CP church have any specific position about celebrating Christmas and Easter. I know some pastors who hold the Puritan's position on these two points and do not celebrate it.
Well, that is all for now.
Thank you!Virginia

Hi Lea: I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Well, in checking you are pretty much 35 minutes from us and also our church in Manchester, CT & West Hartford - we have quite a few indiv iduals, families from all surround areas of Connecticut that come to our church ie Cheshire, Southbury, Hartford - so some do make the drive and most do drive over 1/2 hour. I do not have anyone living in the Middlefield area at the moment - but it would be a pretty easy drive to New Haven. We also have a small group that meets within Cheshire - I think about a 20 minute drive for you - they meet - I believe twice a month.

And, yes we have a very active group called our Graduate Student/Professional group - which meets every week - and has many activities scheduled on the weekends or Friday evenings - it is quite a fun group - I believe there are about 30 of them or so.

I am usually here from 8:30 to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday - you are welcome to call or just email me - and I can direct your email to our Grad/Professional Group leader. I can also send you our Welcome Booklet that explains our church and our current summer calendar - our church starts its new year in September - when all of the students are back and we have all kinds of things planned for this next fiscal year.

Lea, I hope I have answered some of your questions - I hope you could come to visit the church - we have about 110 members and 200 regular attendees. We just built our next sanctuary a year ago - we also have a Christian daycare and counseling center at our site.

Have a wonderful day.......

Dear Ms Virginia Andrade,

Thank you for your inquiry about our church. We wouldlove to have you visit us and worship with us. I will look into churches that might be closer to Middlefield, however I should only be a 30 min drive from Middlefield on Sunday.

I see that you have been at our website www.wopchamden.org
I will send a sample bulletin with this e-mail.

You can also find out about our church at www.opc.org

May the Lord bless you as you go through these changes.

In Christ,

Calvin D. Keller

Hello,
I am a Christian from Brazil, who is considering moving to Middlefield, CT. i might have a final definition about it by next week, since there's also a chance I might go to Boston instead.
I attend a PResbyterian church here, and I am looking for a church to attend while I am there. I went for the PRebyterian church because it is the one I am familiar with, but I am ok with any church strictly commited to the Word of God.
I would like to get some info about your church. But also if you know of any other church closer to Middletown, even though it is not a PResbyterian, would you be kind enough to tell me? It seems that your church is about a 40-minute drive from where I will be living. that's an awfull long time to drive every sunday or anytime I want to be at church.
under Christi's Mercy,
Virginia
